One of the reasons I am in India to observe what a church movement looks like. Through the work of Sastry’s family, there have been 2500+ churches planted in India in the last 40 years. They have raised up planters, trained pastors, and developed leadership. Yet, they have not become burdened by beaurocrasy and structure. This is unprecedented in our American context. Usually, a movement starts strongbut formalization and structure crowds out progress and stifles growth.
